Terms & Conditions
These terms explain the rules, responsibilities and limitations that apply when using SafeXTrip.
Effective: 30 July 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using SafeXTrip, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Platform purpose
SafeXTrip provides journey recording, location sharing, emergency-contact and incident-coordination tools. It is not an emergency service, transport provider, insurer or guarantee of personal safety.
3. Emergency situations
An SOS alert does not guarantee that a responder, police unit or other authority will be available or arrive within a particular time. In an emergency, contact the relevant official emergency service whenever it is safe and practical.
4. Your responsibilities
You must provide accurate information, keep your account secure, obtain permission before adding another person's contact details, use location sharing lawfully, and end journeys or alerts when they are no longer active.
5. Prohibited use
You must not submit false alerts, impersonate another person, misuse responder information, interfere with the platform, attempt unauthorised access, upload unlawful content or use SafeXTrip to harass, track or endanger anyone.
6. Accounts and access
We may suspend, restrict or close an account where necessary to protect users, responders, the platform or the public, or where these terms or applicable law have been breached.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, perfect location accuracy or compatibility with every device or network. Features may be changed, paused or discontinued as the platform develops.
8. Third-party services
SafeXTrip may depend on hosting, mapping, messaging, authentication and telecommunications providers. Their availability, terms and technical limitations may affect the service.
9. Intellectual property
The SafeXTrip name, platform design, software, content and branding are owned by or licensed to SafeXTrip. You receive a limited, revocable right to use the platform for its intended purpose.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, SafeXTrip is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, delayed response, inaccurate device location, network failure, user misconduct or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Indemnity
You are responsible for losses arising from your unlawful or abusive use of the platform, including false emergency reports or unauthorised tracking, to the extent permitted by law.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by applicable Nigerian law, unless mandatory law in your place of residence provides otherwise. Disputes should first be raised through our Contact page so that we can attempt a good-faith resolution.
13. Changes
We may update these terms as the service or legal requirements change. Continued use after an updated version takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
